One of my favorite things about things about my job is the quest of becoming a better photographer. I am on a high speed rail bound for greatness and continuing my education is one of the ways I’ll arrive at my destination. I have been to 3 workshops so far. Two weeks ago I attended my third —— the Lyon-Shop. Amelia and Justin Lyon are some of my favorite photographers in the business. Their work will cook your thinker. It was an honor to learn from them. They are a hoot too!
Here is a look behind-the-scenes from the Lyon-Shop and my trip in general…

My connecting flight from Chicago to LAX got cancelled. I was so nervous that I was going to miss the kick off party but by the grace of God there was a tail wind so my flight arrived at LAX 30 min early. woo hoo! One of the things I look forward to in going to workshops is networking with other photographers. There was some amazing talent that attended. It was a pleasure meeting & getting to know them.

The fab duo —– Amelia & Justin work well together. I loved seeing them interact.
Still on MO time I woke up at 5am, so I had fun exploring the Shade Hotel.

From Donna Karen’s spring 2010 line.. I love, love, love both of these outfits, especially the one on the left.
From Ralph Lauren’s spring 2010 line. I normally don’t like overalls but I think they are fun here when paired with the ultra feminine shirt and shoes. Of course I am ridiculously in love the hats in both pictures.

Since Zelda was a baby she has had a darling habit of sticking out her tongue. My sister, Julie said that she didn’t do it anymore but ah ha! the proof is right here.
Here she is back in 2008 at 9 mo old. Don’t you just want to eat her up?!
