joseph + alyson + james

Joseph and Alyson are SO fun and they happen to be close friends of ours.  Both are incredibly talented, kind, funny, and fun.  They moved to West Plains this year for Joseph’s rotations.  He is a 3rd year medical student.  Alyson is a gifted pianist with a degree in music therapy.  She’s holding off on her career to raise their son James and one on the way.  :)  James is full of life and cute as all get out.  Rose adores him.  We headed over to the park for their family session and I am SO excited about what we got!

hey josh

Have you heard of this guy?  His name is Josh Shipp.  I ran into his blog (heyjosh.com) at random and am totally inspired by this guy.  He took the sour grapes that life offered him and made something amazing.  He is an “advice ninja” for teens….   and it goes way deeper than that.   Hop on over to his site and check him out.  Good stuff.

amy {graduate}

One of best parts of my job is—–as I have said many times before, I know—–shooting graduate sessions.  I love the energy seniors bring.  Amy was no exception.

Amy’s inner warmth radiates to all those around her.  She is grounded and genuine while she puts you at ease with her beautiful smile.  I could talk to Amy for days.  We had so much fun and laughed a lot!

Amy chose her family’s land for the location of her graduate pictures.  I could not be more thrilled that she did!!  Their property is gorgeous and we were able to get a wide variety of shots.

Amy was a bit nervous about being in front of the camera (as all seniors are) but I gave her the spiel of what I was looking to capture and she pulled out all of the stops.  I am so impressed with the range Amy brought.  I asked her to bring it and she brought like it’s never been brought before!  Amy…  you rock.

I had such a hard time picking a favorite.  My favorite of the favorites of the favorites (as Amy said) you will see below.  Which one is your favorite?

Untitled-1003IMG_8413Untitled-7Amy—-you are gorgeous!Untitled-84139It’s a good thing that Amy runs regularly otherwise I would have worn her out.  :)33ha…  I love motion pictures!  The image on the left was a happy accident.  I didn’t realize she was going to jump but it worked out perfect—-love the shot!

It was cold during the photo shoot.  If you could see up close you would see goose bumps on Amy’s arms.  She was awesome though and didn’t let it phase her.  Untitled-2Untitled-4Gotta love the wind—makes for gorgeous hair.Untitled-1Untitled-9love, love, LOOOOOVE it!  favorite #2555237Fierce Amy…  fierce.  My #1 favorite.  IMG_8219b 01A fun wood chair from her parents’ room.  I love using chairs and things from a client’s house so that they are unique to that person..  I’m so glad Amy offered this one.Untitled-5Untitled-6Untitled-7Untitled-3Amy has bea.U.tiful eyes.
