I bought the “First Train Home” single.  It’s awesome.  I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!

Although she comes from a pedigree that is larger than life and has been on the big screen since before she could talk, Drew Barrymore manages to remain down-to-earth. 

I’m not celebrity obsessed.  I heard that Michael Jackson died…  I’m fine.  I don’t know if Jon & Kate are still together.  I walk comfortably past the tabloids at the supermarket without the urge to snatch one up.  BUT I do try to catch films with my favorite celebs (such as Drew). 

I heard her talking in an interview about her latest movie, Grey Gardens, in which she plays along side Jessica Lange as Big Edie & Little Edie Beale.  I must say that is a movie that stays with you for a while.  The impression it left me with is not to waste your life.  It’s but a short time and not let it pass you by.

This magazine came in the mail right before I left for my shoot with Stephanie last spring and because Drew was on the cover I had to use it.

I get asked all of the time about what to wear during a session…     which I love because styling is one of my favorite parts   

For babies and toddlers:  Baby Gap is one of my absolute faves.  I especially love Abbey Road (girl/boy) & the Corsica Collection (girl/boy)

For kids & older:  American Eagle is one of my favorites.

For those that know me it’s quite easy to say that I get excited about the little things in life.  I am fascinated and inspired regularly.  Call it annoying, call it enduring, call it what you will.  Here are some of the times that I have jumped up and down for lately.

*Cool Facts iPhone App.  It has 6500+ cool facts for the insatiable appetite of useless knowledge.  I’ve learned things such as….      

        ~ powder on chewing gum is finely-ground marble  

        ~ in the last 4,000 yrs, no new animals have been domesticated  

        ~ the chance of making two holes-in-one in a round of golf are one on 67 million   

        ~ New Zealand is the first country to allow women to vote   

        ~ Parrots have 500 lbs per square inch of pressure in their beaks   

        ~ in it’s ancient form, the carrot was purple, not orange   

        ~ there are 92 known cases of nuclear bombs lost at sea   

        ~ a baby eel is called an elver, a baby oyster is called a spat   

        ~ a lion’s roar can be heard from more than 5 mi away

*Pandora.  I found Pandora internet radio a few years ago and then forgot about it.  After recently rediscovering it I’ve had it playing constantly.  Customized channel for Adele.  She rocks!  What an amazing voice.

*Ulla Nyeman.  I love the feel of her images.  Perfectly imperfect = Puuuuurfection!

*It’s Amazing.  This video by Jem is made of 25,632 photographs.  Very inspiring.  (I found Jem through Pandora, of course!).
