I am a confessed NPR junkie..   ok.  I’m confessing it now.  For years I have gripped myself on the stories and studies.  As a habitual subscriber of many NPR podcasts I can get my daily dish.  Lately I have found that if I’m in a sour mood while driving, I simply flip to NPR and feel the grouchiness slip away upon hearing the familiar voices of Allison Aubrey, Patti Neighmond, Ira Flatow and the like.  I have always been a sucker for fun tidbits and interesting studies.  I often find myself saying..  I heard on NPR…  On NPR there was a study…

Red flag for the closet nerd.  Don’t get me wrong though, internet…  I love being a nerd.

Tonight was an enjoyable evening with friends and food.  We scarfed down crunchy garlic chicken, mashed potatoes with white gravy, sugar snap peas with butter, followed by ooey gooey chocolate chip cookies.  My tummy was stuffed beyond normal limits and it reminded me of a story I heard on NPR …  ..  how about that?!? 

According to studies, habitual overeating can cause bodily malfunction….  disturbances in sleep, mixed signals, among many other side effects.  So I put this theory to the test..  Over the last few nights I didn’t eat for at least 3 hours before bedtime.  I, in fact, did sleep better than normal. 

Looks like tonight I won’t have that luxury.  oy vey..

I am happy to announce that my new graduate website is finished!  This is something I have been wanting to do for a while and it’s finally here.  I am so excited about it.  Now I have a place exclusively just for my graduates.

I got together with my friend, Sesha Shannon of Convey Studios last week to do a fun shoot.  Our model was sweet.  She was up for anything (including riding this bike with this HUGE wedding dress) and laughing the whole time.  We had so much fun.  Here are some of my favorites.

Tonight Jordan said to me.. 

I don’t know why girls are the only ones to get flowers.  I love fresh cut flowers….  

This cracks me up because if you know my husband..  he is not known for his…  sensitivity per se.  He’s a man’s man..  guns, motorcycles, peeing outdoors….  you get the picture.  So, you can imagine my surprise.

*Note made..   men want flowers too.

Stephanie brought this gorgeous display to my house with the sweetest thank-you card I have ever received.  They have been filling the room with sweet aroma ever since.

Thank you Stephanie.  I love them.    

And if any of you want to bring me flowers my husband will enjoy them too.

One more I just have to share.  This is one of my favorite images from the shoot with Stephanie.  I’m a sucker for blowing hair and laughter….   and the sunset coming through the trees.  Steph is so natural in front of the camera and her personality shines through in this picture…   gorgeous.

Upon my first email contact with Stephanie I could tell that she was a smiling happy person.  It seeped through her words and her verbal gestures.  Upon meeting her it was clear that we were going to get along perfectly.  Though it’s not hard to imagine that she gets along with everyone.  Quick to smile and laugh, her personality is infectious.  She is the type of person that leaves you in a better mood than she found you.

Stephanie and I went out for a shoot yesturday.  Needless to say, we had a blast!  It’s impossible to pick my favorite shot of the day.  There are soo many to choose from.  Here are some…

Oh, and did I mention how GORGEOUS she is?!?
