new experiences

I had two new experiences in the last couple of weeks…

1st experience:

I was at the grocery store yesturday picking out cheese.  A gentlemen and his friend (both of whom I think were a little off their rocker) were doing the same a couple of feet from me.  Out of no where one says to the other (nearly shouting), “look at her, she’s hot!”  —-Internet, I tell you this NOT because I want to brag or that I think it’s true but because I thought it was SO funny!

2nd experience:

When I first saw Coralie from across the room I I did a double take.  There was something very familiar about her.  As I held her in my arms and looked at her more closely goosebumps raised from my arms to my head.  She was more than just familiar, I knew this child.  This deep impression that I knew her already isn’t something I had ever experienced.  Maybe we were best friends before coming to earth.  Anything’s possible.  :)

Julie-Ann is so natural in front of the camera.  Maybe that’s why she’s so photogenic.  I love photographing her.

the best gifts are homemade

Yesturday was my 29th birthday.  hollla!  Jordan made me feel special with little surprises all day….

So after all the fun I want to post about ”my favorite things”….

*Homemade gifts.  Jordan and Rose drew this.   (check out the artist skills…   cracks me up!)

*Watermelon.  Thank heavens summer has rolled around so I can nearly survive alone on it again.  If you see me with my belly poking out..  no I’m not prego—-it’s watermelon belly.

*Family.  My brother, Josh and his family stopped by Columia, MO for the day on their way to CA.  It’d been over a year since we got to hang out.  We’ll take what we can get…  even a day.  (Good to see you, bro)  :)

*Going Bonkers.  No, I’m not going bonkers.  It’s a play HUGE indoor playground we went to in Columbia, MO.  After hours of climbing up/down/back/forth through this place I was covered in bruises.  It was so worth it.  Racing  Josh through it at warp speed had to be the best part.  I felt like I was on a Japanese game show.  It’s about as much fun a kid can have…  young and old.

a snapshot of the whole place…

*Coralie.  Introducing my newest neice!  Born on June 15th to my sister Julie-Ann, this little darling was 5 days late.  It’s a good thing because she only weighed 7 lbs 3 oz.  Here a sneak peak.  I’ll post more images from her shoot later..

Have you seen this video?!  I laughed my bum off…

1 year old

I had the pleasure of photographing Cole on his first birthday a couple of months ago at his grandfather’s home.  He is such a cutie and such a mellow, sweet-natured baby!  I LOVED this family!  Cole’s mom and dad are two of the nicest people you could meet.
